William K. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P

Dr. William Lee is the founder of Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, PA located in Oakland, New Jersey.  He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).  He also served as Chief of the Coronary Care Unit and conducted numerous research projects at the UMDNJ.  His clinical interests and expertise are in interventional cardiology and general cardiology.  Major research interests are in congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy.  Dr. Lee is an active staff member at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, New Jersey.  At Valley Hospital, he also served as Director of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. William Lee graduated from Yonsei University, College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Following his internship and residency at UMDNJ, Dr. Lee Continued at UMDNJ where he completed his research and clinical cardiology fellowship.  Dr. Lee is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.  He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow in the American College of Physician.

Active in various professional societies, Dr. Lee served as Past President of the Interventional Society of NJ.

Dr. Lee has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Congestive Heart Failure and has numerous publications as author and co-author with articles appearing in Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Congestive Heart Failure and Clinical Research.

David H. Montgomery, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Montgomery acquired his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College.  He went on to earn his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan where he served as Assistant Chief Resident.  His fellowship in Cardiology was at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Montgomery joined Dr. William Lee in practice in 1995. He has maintained his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. His clinical interests and expertise are in clinical cardiology and echocardiography.  He has served in many administrative roles at The Valley Hospital including among others Chairman of the Institutional Review Board, Chairman of the Peer Review and Quality Committee, Executive Board of the Heart and Vascular Committee and Cleveland Clinic Cardiology Committee and Director of the Division of Cardiology.

Navin Budhwani, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Budhwani received his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), graduated with honors.  He completed his residency at UMDNJ, where he served as Chief Resident during his last year.  He remained at UMDNJ for a three-year Cardiology Fellowship, where he served as Chief Fellow during his last year. He then completed a seventh year at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine as an Interventional Cardiology Fellow, where he focused on complex coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention and valvular heart disease.  Dr. Budhwani is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.  His clinical interests and expertise are in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vein and peripheral arterial interventions.  He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology.

He is a founding member of  the Trans-Catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ.

Dr. Budhwani also actively participates in over 40 Cardiac Clinical Trials, including as a Principal Investigators in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored trial.

Dr. Budhwani has published studies in various publications such as American Heart Journal and Heart & Lung.  He also received the Golden Apple Award for teaching at UMDNJ.

John H. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Lee is the latest addition to the Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, PA. Dr. Lee like his father William K. Lee graduated from Yonsei University, College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Lee’s undergraduate studies were completed at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Following medical school he completed his training in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Lee went on to further training in preventive cardiology and cardiac imaging at the Mid America Heart Institute at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Subsequently he trained in general cardiology and interventional cardiology with specialized training in peripheral arterial and structural heart interventions a the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Lousianna.

Dr. Lee’s clinical interests and expertise are in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology as well as vein and peripheral arterial interventions.

Dr. Lee has extensive research experience and has presented at many national meetings as well as published in many peer-reviewed journals in the areas of preventive cardiology, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology.
