Dr. Montgomery acquired his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. He went on to earn his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, where he served as Assistant Chief Resident.
His fellowship in Cardiology was at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he studied under Dr. J. Willis Hurst. Dr. Montgomery joined Cardiac Associates of North Jersey in 1995. He has maintained his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. His clinical interests and expertise are in Clinical and Preventive Cardiology.
He has served in many administrative roles at The Valley Hospital, including President of the Medical Staff, Director of Cardiology, Chairman of the Institutional Review Board, Chairman of the Cardiovascular Peer Review and Quality Committee, Executive Board of the Heart and Vascular Committee and Executive Board of the Valley Hospital/Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Service.
