Cardiology

William Lee, MD

Dr. William Lee is the founder of the Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, PA located in Oakland, New Jersey. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). 

He also served as Chief of the Coronary Care Unit and conducted numerous research projects at the UMDNJ.

His clinical interests and expertise are in interventional cardiology and general cardiology.

Dr. Lee’s major research interests are in congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy. He is an active staff member at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, New Jersey. At Valley Hospital, he also served as Director of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. William Lee graduated from Yonsei University's College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Following his internship and residency at UMDNJ, Dr. Lee Continued at UMDNJ, where he completed his research and clinical cardiology fellowship.

Dr. Lee is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Active in various professional societies, Dr. Lee served as Past President of the Interventional Society of NJ.

Dr. Lee has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Congestive Heart Failure and has had numerous publications as an author and co-author, with articles appearing in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Congestive Heart Failure, and Clinical Research.

David Montgomery, MD

Dr. Montgomery acquired his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College. He went on to earn his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. 

He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, where he served as Assistant Chief Resident.

His fellowship in Cardiology was at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Montgomery joined Dr. William Lee in practice in 1995. He has maintained his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. His clinical interests and expertise are in clinical cardiology and echocardiography.

He has served in many administrative roles at The Valley Hospital, including, among others, Chairman of the Institutional Review Board, Chairman of the Peer Review and Quality Committee, Executive Board of the Heart and Vascular Committee and Cleveland Clinic Cardiology Committee, and Director of the Division of Cardiology.

Interventional Cardiology

Navin Budhwani, MD

Dr. Budhwani received his Medical Degree and graduated with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He completed his residency at UMDNJ, where he served as Chief Resident during his last year.  He remained at UMDNJ for a three-year Cardiology Fellowship, where he served as Chief Fellow during his last year. 

He then completed a seventh year at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine as an Interventional Cardiology Fellow, where he focused on complex coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and valvular heart disease.  

Dr. Budhwani is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. His clinical interests and expertise include cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vein and peripheral arterial interventions. 

He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a founding member of the Trans-Catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ.

Dr. Budhwani also actively participates in over 40 Cardiac Clinical Trials, including a role as a Principal investigator in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored trial. 

Dr. Budhwani has published studies in various publications such as American Heart Journal and Heart & Lung. He also received the Golden Apple Award for teaching at UMDNJ.

John Lee, MD

Dr. Lee, just like his father, William K. Lee, graduated from Yonsei University's College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Lee’s undergraduate studies were completed at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. 

Following medical school, he completed his training in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Lee went on to further training in preventive cardiology and cardiac imaging at the Mid-America Heart Institute at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

Subsequently, he trained in general cardiology and interventional cardiology with specialized training in peripheral arterial and structural heart interventions at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Lee’s clinical interests and expertise are in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology as well as vein and peripheral arterial interventions.

He has extensive research experience and has presented at many national meetings as well as published in many peer-reviewed journals in the areas of preventive cardiology, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Sylvia Bucharowski, APN

Sylvia Buchanowski is an accomplished Cardiology Nurse Practitioner with an MSN from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BA from Rutgers. Since 2017, she's been with Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, where she excels in diagnosing and treating complex cardiac conditions, emphasizing patient education and collaborative care.

Her expertise includes in-depth evaluations, treatment planning, and managing medications for diseases like heart failure and arrhythmias. Fluent in English and Polish, Sylvia's communication skills are as strong as her clinical abilities, allowing her to guide patients through treatment and prevention strategies effectively.

Additionally, Sylvia is ACLS certified, recognized by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and trained in aesthetic treatments, illustrating her commitment to comprehensive patient care and ongoing professional development.

Donna Rudesyle, APN

Donna Mae Rudesyle, MSN, RN, APN-C is an experienced nurse practitioner specializing in adult cardiovascular care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she graduated cum laude in 1997. Donna also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Dominican College in 1994, also graduating cum laude.

Donna's professional experience includes working as an Adult Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner at Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, where she currently practices. She has also worked as an Adult Invasive Cardiology Nurse Practitioner at The Valley Hospital from 2002 to 2019. Throughout her career, Donna has been dedicated to patient care, education, quality improvement, and nursing research.

In addition to her clinical roles, Donna has served as an adjunct faculty member at Bergen Community College from 1999 to 2017, teaching nursing students pharmacology and medical-surgical nursing. She has also worked as a registered nurse at Healthnet Medical Group, providing patient care in an urgent care setting and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Donna is certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. She is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey.

Outside of her professional work, Donna is actively involved in the education of staff, patients, families, and the community. She has a passion for providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes in the field of cardiovascular health. 

Ashley Dettra, APN

Ashley Dettra is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) focused on adult gerontology and cardiac care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a program focus in Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. Ashley’s certifications include ACLS/BLS, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification (AANP-C), and Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification.

In her current role at Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, she helps improve patient outcomes by developing comprehensive treatment plans for complex heart conditions such as

  • Congestive heart failure
  • Ischemic and vascular heart disease
  • Post-myocardial infarction

She is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare through a compassionate approach, focusing on post-operative adults.

Richard Morski, MD

Dr. Richard Morski, MD, is a family medicine specialist in Oakland, NJ, and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He began his pursuit of medicine after completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Seton Hall University in 1974. Following this, he pursued his medical education at the prestigious Medical Academy of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1981.

During his residency training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ, he specialized in internal medicine and honed his skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Dr. Morski is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice/Medicine.

Dr. Morski has served as a primary care physician, touching the lives of countless patients in the community. He is dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality of care. He has demonstrated his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice in every position he has held during this distinguished career.

Padma Chava, MD

Dr. Padma Chava earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBS) at JKC College in India before moving to the U.S. to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Woodhull Medical & Mental Health Center, Brooklyn, NY.

Following medical school, she completed her fellowship in Geriatrics at Hackensack University Medical Hospital Center, NJ.

She later spent several years working at Hackensack University Medical Center with responsibilities in the Medical Clinic and teaching medical residents.

Dr. Chava is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her experience is a clear demonstration of a deep commitment to healthcare with a personalized patient focus. She especially enjoys the challenge of treating obesity and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and has achieved great success through an aggressive focus on diet and exercise.

Shannon Linde, APN

Shannon Waller, MSN, FNP-BC, is a seasoned Family Nurse Practitioner with a comprehensive educational background and extensive experience in a variety of medical settings. 

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Felician University and a Master of Science in Nursing specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Shannon has demonstrated her expertise through a series of rigorous clinical residencies

and rotations, including St. Barnabas Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and departments of medical-surgical, mental health, pediatrics, maternity, and community health.

Since achieving her master's degree with high honors, Shannon has been an integral part of the Cardiac Associates of North Jersey/CANJ Aesthetics team, where she serves as an Internal Medicine Provider and Laser Aesthetics specialist.

Prior to this role, she honed her skills at St. Barnabas Medical Center for six years in various capacities, culminating in a charge nurse position within labor and delivery and high-risk antepartum units. Her dedication to patient care is further underscored by her multiple certifications, including AANP, BLS, NRP, ACLS, as well as AWONN fetal heart rate monitoring, and Botox certification through Empire Medical Training.

Shannon's commitment to her profession is not limited to her clinical practice; she is also shaping the future of nursing through her role as an Adjunct Professor at Felician University. Recognized for her clinical excellence with Daisy Award nominations and academic achievements, she remains an active participant in professional organizations, continually advocating for the highest standards of nursing care and education.

Shannon's depth of knowledge, combined with her hands-on experience in both primary care and specialized medical treatments, makes her a valuable asset to the medical community and a trusted healthcare provider to her patients.

Madelyn Vitamia RN, MSN

Madelyn Vitamia, RN, MSN, is a Certified Aesthetic Practitioner who started her career in a level 1 ICU and later transitioned to cardiac care, where she continues to work as a cath lab nurse with CANJ. She works one-on-one with patients, preparing them for catheterization and assisting with procedures.

With over 10 years of healthcare experience, she received formal training from renowned aesthetic providers.

She holds certifications in various areas, including neurotoxin injections, dermal and biostimulant fillers, lip filler techniques, PDO threads, laser techniques, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, and holistic practices.

Madelyn is also ACLS/BLS certified. She attended Boston University for her undergraduate studies and then obtained her nursing degree from Holy Name. Currently, she is pursuing her terminal degree as a nurse practitioner from William Paterson University to better serve her patients. Her continuous pursuit of advanced techniques, combined with her clinical knowledge, sets the stage for a promising future in cardiology and aesthetics.
